Experience the Value of New Tires From Our Tire Center
Let's face it; tires can be expensive, and needing new tires can sometimes occur at the worst time. That's why we offer relatively inexpensive tires. One type of "cheap tires" we offer is a form of recycled tire called re-treads. These tires come from old tires with nothing wrong with them other than the worn-down tread. The tread on these tires gets replaced with new treading, and these tires are typically very reliable. They also can be much cheaper than new tires. However, they usually are not rated for as many miles or as many years. The warranty is normally a lot shorter or even non-existent. These cheap tires are sometimes good for someone in a bind, but they are not a great long-term option.
While new tires are obviously more expensive, we take pride in offering the most competitive rates on tires in the Fort Pierce area. New tires come rated for many more miles than re-treads, and they come with a much better warranty. Rotating your tires every 5,000-10,000 miles is a great way to extend the life of your tires, and we offer this service completely free for all new tire purchases at our Okeechobee tire center. We are also able to service many new tires purchased through us with the manufacturer's warranty, and we can even provide you with replacement tires if deemed necessary by our staff.
Our full-service maintenance and repair facility is ready to handle all your tire requests. We offer parts and labor warranties to give you peace of mind with your vehicle maintenance. While a simple tire rotation is quick and simple, some other forms of tire service and replacement take a bit longer. You are welcome to wait in our clean and comfortable waiting areas. Free Wi-Fi will keep you connected. However, if waiting in the lobby is not an option for you, we also offer a free shuttle service that can drop you off and pick you back up once your service finishes.
Types of Tires You Should Consider for Your Vehicle
In addition to the numerous brands and models of tires, there are different types of tires. Because we are right here in the sunny Port St. Lucie area, winter tires are not something we would typically recommend, especially since they do not handle well in extreme heat. The types of tires that we do carry and recommend are off-road, year-round, all-season, performance, summer, highway, and touring tires.
Year-Round or All-Season Tires
Year-round or all-season tires are the styles of tires that we recommend the most. These tires are great for all types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs. They offer a great mix of durability and handling in all types of road and weather conditions. However, because they do everything well, they aren't quite as good in some aspects as other types of tires, like performance tires.
Performance Tires or Summer Tires
You may associate these tires with sportscars, but they can work really well on any kind of vehicle. Performance tires tend to have a lower profile and stiffer outer walls that allow them to provide better acceleration and handling. They also tend to provide great traction in the rain and are less likely to spin out. These tires are great for those who want to get the absolute most out of their Corvette or Camaro. The only real downside of performance or summer tires is that they tend to be quite expensive; however, it is money well spent.
Highway Tires
Manufacturers design highway tires for heavy loads and creating a comfortable ride. This setup makes them a great choice for trucks and SUVs. Their thread pattern also appears designed in a way that helps increase longevity, and you can expect these tires to last the longest for your travels outside of Okeechobee. These tires are not great for off-roading, so if you plan on driving off of the road in your vehicle, you might want to consider off-road tires.
Off-Road Tires
As the name implies, these tires appear designed for those driving their tires off the road. Off-road tires are the only tires you should consider driving on when driving through deep mud, thick grass, or really any other scenario besides a road. You should only purchase these tires if you actually need them because they perform way behind normal tires in the areas of road noise and tire life. If you drive an SUV or truck and need a tire that can take you anywhere, off-road tires are your best bet.
Touring Tires
Touring tires are typically the style of tire marketed as "luxury" tires. They offer the quietest and most comfortable ride while also having a high mileage rating. They are very popular on many cars and crossover SUVs, as they also help achieve slightly higher gas mileage. These tires don't do anything wrong, but they don't quite match the level of acceleration and handling found on performance tires.
